PMGT 3570 - Project Management Tools

Description

This course emphasizes a skills-based approach instructing students the use of project management software tools in organizing, planning, and scheduling projects from inception to completion.


Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to:

  1. Produce a project plan using a project management software package.
  2. Organize a project using a project management software package.
  3. Explain how to monitor a project using a project management software package.
  4. Develop and describe the benefits of a work-breakdown structure for the project.
  5. Utilize project management software functions including, scope management, timeline management, resource allocation, risk management, and budgeting.
  6. Develop adaptive schedules for the project plan using a software application.
