Student Success Team
Students enrolled in eMajor courses are supported by the eCampus Student Success Team (SST) in addition to existing student resources available at our participating institutions. The eCampus student success model is built on a proactive approach to increase engagement in the online classroom. SST outreach starts before the first day of class, with online tutorial classes and personal start-of-term phone calls. During the term, we work closely with instructors to identify and make contact with students who may need access to additional resources such as tutoring or counseling.
Our team is invested in the success of our students, and we promise you will never feel alone with the eCampus Student Success Team in your corner.
Convenience and Flexibility
eMajor courses are taught entirely online in an asynchronous format. Students are not required to log in for assigned "class times." Each course has a syllabus and schedule to follow, but students are free to complete these assignments before work in the morning, on a lunch break, or even in their pajamas after kids are put to bed. And with full 16-week courses in addition to accelerated 8-week courses, finishing your degree is more flexible than ever with eMajor.
Embedded Librarians
In addition to 24/7 tutoring through Tutor.com, eCampus employs specially trained individuals to provide embedded one-on-one Library support that is relevant to the course material. Students enrolled in non-STEM eMajor courses have exclusive access to the "eCampus Library and Writing Center" course located within the learning management system. Here, students have access to an eCampus librarian who can assist with research, finding appropriate research materials, formatting and citation style, finding study aids, and even Microsoft Office programs.
Free Online Tutoring
Free online tutoring through Tutor.com is available 24/7 to students enrolled in eMajor courses. And with access to tutoring from directly within the course, finding this valuable resource will never be an issue! Through Tutor.com, students are able to connect with a live tutor on-demand, submit writing for review and feedback, or submit questions directly to a tutor. This resource is available in addition to any tutoring resources available at your home institution.
Embedded Digital Textbooks
In addition to student success, one of the hallmarks of eCampus-supported programs is a commitment to lowering student costs related to higher education. As part of that initiative, Open Educational Resources (OER) have been adopted in place of traditional textbooks in the majority of eMajor courses. Several eMajor degrees are now 100% OER, which means there are no textbook purchases required for those courses!
