Focuses on effective collaboration with families, general educators, and service providers to support students with disabilities.

Learning Objectives

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • LO1: Describe the roles and responsibilities of special educators in collaborative teams, including co-teaching, consultation, and interdisciplinary planning.
  • LO2: Apply effective communication and problem-solving strategies to build partnerships with families, general educators, and related service providers.
  • LO3: Demonstrate culturally responsive and ethical collaboration practices that support classroom management, individualized planning, and inclusive education for students with disabilities.
