SPED 4113 - Teaching Mathematics to Learners with Disabilities

Emphasizes effective strategies for teaching mathematical concepts and skills to students with disabilities, including accommodations and modifications.
Learning Objectives
After completing this course, students will be able to:
LO1: Describe common learning difficulties in mathematics and explain how these impact students with disabilities across grade levels.
LO2: Apply evidence-based instructional strategies to teach mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills to students with disabilities.
LO3: Design math lessons that include appropriate accommodations, modifications, and supports aligned with students’ IEP goals and access needs.
