MGNT 3700 - Information System for Management

Description

This course covers the fundamental principles of information technology and illustrates the effective use of information technology in managerial decision making. The focus will be on the role of IT in formulating and implementing strategies for competitive advantage.


Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to:

  1. Identify the components of information systems and discuss the examples of the components.
  2. Research and present the emerging information technologies for companies operating in a digital world.
  3. Discuss and report how organizations can use information systems for automation, organizational learning, and strategic advantage.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in Excel spreadsheet and Cloud applications.
  5. Integrate HTML, JavaScript, and other web tools into dynamic web pages.
