POLS 4200 - Principles of Public Administration

Description

An introductory examination of the characteristics of the public organization and its impact on society. Analysis of the theories of public administration, personnel issues, budgetary activities, legal dynamics, as well as historical development of the field are included.


Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to:

  1. Understand the structure of public organizations and agencies;
  2. Understand the roles and responsibilities of government organizations in society;
  3. Gain insight into the workings of public agencies; and
  4. Research and analyze topics of public administration..
