MKTG 3800 - Principles of Marketing

Description

This course focuses on principles and methods involved in the movement of goods and services from producer to consumer.


Upon successful completion of the course students will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate an understanding of how environmental forces affect marketing decisions and be able to apply this knowledge.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of marketing information for gaining insights about the marketplace and be able to apply this knowledge.
  3. Demonstrate an understanding of the fundamentals of social media marketing and the 4E framework.
  4. Identify the appropriate promotion tools for communicating with customers and understand the importance of integrated marketing communications.
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of international, ethical, and social issues as they apply to marketing.
  6. Develop a marketing plan that demonstrates the ability to reach a selected target market through the marketing mix.
